Briefly, protein was extracted from the pleural cavity fluid and the concentration was adjusted to 4 mg/mL.The concentration of TNF-α, IL-1β, VEGF-α, and IL-17A were then determined using a commercial ELISA kit (Shanghai Jinma Biological Technology, Inc., China) following the manufacture's instruction.
